The Alumni Engagement Office at Hanover College is thrilled to extend an invitation to all alumni. We invite you to share your unique connection and experiences with Hanover College!

Our oral history project offers alumni the platform to narrate their Hanover College in their own words. These personal stories will be compiled into a collection that celebrates our alma mater and its enduring legacy.

This initiative is made possible through a partnership between the Alumni Engagement Office and Publishing Concepts (PCI). In addition to gathering stories, PCI will assist the Alumni Engagement Office in updating alumni biographical information. This ensures we maintain accurate records to stay connected with Hanover College alums across the nation and beyond.

I received an email/postcard/phone call from a company asking for my personal information and said they were working with Hanover College. Is this a respectable project?

Hanover College has partnered with PCI (also known as Publishing Concepts) to produce an Oral History Publication for Hanover College.

PCI is a family-owned business based in Dallas, TX that has published directories for educational institutions, fraternities, sororities, and military organizations across the nation for over 100 years.

This project allows us to hear about your personal experiences from your time at Hanover College and how the school helped to shape your life since then. And, while we have you on the phone, we want to make sure your contact information is up to date.

Does Hanover College benefit from this at all?

Yes, in a few different ways:

Updated Information – allows us to effectively communicate with and engage alumni. Legacy – sharing and collecting stories preserves the history of our school.

Revenue – generates donation revenue for alumni programs. Pride – wearing apparel shows support and love for our school

I would like to verify or update my information. How can I do this?

If you received a postcard or an email with a telephone number, you may call the number to speak with a real, live human being representing the Hanover College - Oral History Project. They will verify the information we have on file for you and make any updates where needed.

If you received an email with an embedded link, simply click the link to go to the online site, and review your information. If you did not receive a postcard or email, you may call the dedicated Hanover College update line at 800-445-3354

When you call to update your information, you can tell the representative if you prefer any of your information be excluded.

How do I know my information will only be used for the oral history project publication purposes?

Alumni privacy is held with the utmost importance to Hanover College, and PCI is committed to protecting your information. The names, addresses and information provided to PCI for the publication of the oral history project will be held confidential by PCI, except to the extent that they are utilized in, or in the preparation of, the oral history project and except as required by court order or law.

When will I receive my oral history publication?

The total duration of the project from initial outreach to directory release is approximately 12 months.
