The Alumni Engagement Office at University of Illinois at Springfield is thrilled to extend an invitation to all alumni. We invite you to share your unique connection and experiences with University of Illinois at Springfield!
Our oral history project offers alumni the platform to narrate their University of Illinois at Springfield journey in their own words. These personal stories will be compiled into a collection that celebrates our alma mater and its enduring legacy.
This initiative is made possible through a partnership between the Alumni Engagement Office and Publishing Concepts (PCI). In addition to gathering stories, PCI will assist the Alumni Engagement Office in updating alumni biographical information. This ensures we maintain accurate records to stay connected with University of Illinois at Springfield alums across the nation and beyond.

I received an email/postcard/phone call from a company asking for my personal information and said they were working with University of Illinois at Springfield. Is this a legitimate project?
Yes, this project is legit! University of Illinois at Springfield has partnered with PCI (also known as Publishing Concepts) to produce our new alumnae directory.
PCI is a family-owned business based in Dallas, TX that has published directories for educational institutions, fraternities, sororities and military organizations across the nation for over 100 years. This project allows University of Illinois at Springfield to receive important updates to our database so we can better serve our alumnae.

If you received a postcard or an email with a telephone number, you may call the number to speak with a real, live human being representing the University of Illinois at Springfield - Oral History Project. They will verify the information we have on file for you and make any updates where needed.

When you call to update your information, you can tell the representative if you prefer any of your information be excluded.

How do I know my information will only be used for directory purposes?
Member privacy is held with the utmost importance to University of Illinois at Springfield, and PCI is committed to protecting your information. The names, addresses and information provided to PCI for the publication of the directory will be held confidential by PCI, except to the extent that they are utilized in, or in the preparation of, the directory and except as required by court order or law.
When will I receive my directory?
The total duration of the project from initial outreach to directory release is approximately 12 months.
