Alumni Directory Project

Enhancing the alumi network is a priority for Houston Christian University. As an important step in strengthening our connection to alumni, Houston Christian University has partnered with Publishing Concepts (PCI) and will be undertaking a data verification project and creation of a new alumni directory. This directory will assist alumni in engaging with one another and the school. PCI will be verifying the accuracy of current alumni data on file and will begin mailing postcards and send emails in mid 2025. The communication requests alumni to call a telephone number to verify or update their alumni profile on their own. When alumni call, they will be offered an opportunity to purchase a printed or digital directory as well as exclusive Houston Christian University merchandise.

I received an email/postcard/phone call from a company asking for my personal information and said they were working with Houston Christian University. Is this a respectable project?

Yes, this project is legit! Houston Christian University has partnered with PCI (also known as Publishing Concepts) to produce our new alumni directory. PCI is a family-owned business based in Dallas, TX that has published directories for educational institutions, fraternities, sororities and military organizations across the nation for over 100 years.

I would like to verify or update my information. How can I do this?

If you received a postcard or an email with a telephone number, you may call the number to speak with a real, live human being representing the Houston Christian University. They will verify the information we have on file for you and make any updates where needed.

If you received an email with an embedded link, simply click the link to go to the online site, and review your information. If you did not receive a postcard or email, you may call the dedicated Houston Christian University update line at 866-456-1979

How do I know my information will only be used for directory purposes?

PCI is committed to protecting your information. The names, addresses and information provided to PCI for the publication of the Oral History Project will be held confidential by PCI, except to the extent that they are utilized in, or in the preparation of, the Oral History Project and except as required by court order or law.View moreView less

When will I receive my directory?

The total duration of the project from initial outreach to directory release is approximately 12 months.
